Job Description: Video Editor Intern – Seeduwa

We are looking for a focused and creative individual to join our content and media team as a Video Editor Intern. This role is designed for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in professional video editing, media production workflows, and visual storytelling for digital platforms.

As a Video Editor Intern, you will support our content team in editing short-form and long-form video content for marketing, training, and brand purposes. Position Summary:

The Video Editor Intern will assist in the post-production phase of various media projects. Your daily responsibilities will involve editing raw footage into clear and well-paced videos, cutting out unnecessary segments, syncing audio, adding transitions, titles, music, and applying basic color corrections.

You’ll also learn how to organize project files, prepare assets for editing, export media in various formats, and collaborate with graphic designers, writers, and marketing professionals. This position is based in Seeduwa and suited for someone committed to a structured learning experience and eager to improve their technical and creative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit raw video footage into clear, clean, and engaging video content.
Organize and manage project files, footage, audio tracks, and graphical elements.
Add transitions, subtitles, captions, music, and motion graphics as required.
Export final edits in correct formats for social media, websites, or internal distribution.
Work with feedback from senior editors to revise and improve initial cuts.
Assist in the creation of video templates for recurring content formats.
Maintain consistency in style and tone based on project requirements.
Learn how to use color correction, audio balancing, and video compression tools effectively.
Support the media team with basic production tasks such as setting up projects or backing up footage.
Stay aware of current trends in video editing, including styles used on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma, certificate, or degree in media studies, film, design, communications, or a related field.
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve/Final Cut Pro).
Basic understanding of timeline editing, audio syncing, and file management.
Ability to follow instructions and revise work based on direct feedback.
Reasonable command of English, both spoken and written.
A demo reel, short edited video, or personal project portfolio is a plus (can be coursework).
