Role Overview
As a Technical Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supervising the technical aspects of the dredging and cleaning operations on-site. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to gain deeper expertise in marine construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dredging and marine construction operations on-site.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of site progress, including daily logs, material usage, and workforce deployment.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and machine operators to resolve site-level challenges.
- Monitor health and safety practices and ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational Qualification: NCT (Civil) or equivalent technical qualification in construction or civil engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a technical or supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willingness to be based full-time on-site in Jaffna, Northern Province.
- Familiarity with marine or dredging projects is an added advantage.
