Job Overview
We’re seeking a Sales Executive – General Trade to join our fast-paced, growth-oriented sales team. If you have a proven track record in FMCG sales, thrive in fieldwork, and know your way around the Central Province—especially Digana and Kandy—this is the perfect opportunity to level up your career with a nationally recognized brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and distribution of MD products within assigned general trade areas
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and local partners
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Execute in-store promotions and merchandising strategies to boost product visibility
- Meet monthly sales targets and provide regular performance reports
- Ensure timely collections and efficient stock management
- Support route planning and market expansion initiatives
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in food and beverage
- Proven success managing general trade channels, especially in Central Province
- Professional sales or marketing qualification (e.g., CIM, SLIM)
- Valid motorbike riding license
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working with established local distributors
- Familiarity with digital sales reporting tools or CRM systems
Location & Work Type
Based in Central Province (Digana/Kandy focus)
Field-based, full-time role requiring regular travel within the region
