  • Support staff during busy periods by attending to guests and ensuring quick turnaround times.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction during meals and resolve issues before they escalate.

3. Operational Oversight

  • Conduct daily checks to ensure tables, cutlery, menus, and service areas are clean and organized.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage order flow and avoid service delays.
  • Maintain a clear line of communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

4. Inventory and Supplies

  • Monitor usage of service items like tableware, linens, menus, and cleaning materials.
  • Assist with stock counts and notify management of shortages or maintenance issues.

5. Training and Development

Preferred Attributes:

  • Familiarity with restaurant operations in Jaffna or surrounding areas.
  • Calm under pressure and able to think clearly during busy service hours.
  • Honest, dependable, and disciplined with a practical approach to supervision.
  • Ability to motivate staff through example rather than authority alone.
  • Physically fit to stand for long hours and actively assist on the restaurant floor.

Work Conditions:

  • Rotational shifts based on restaurant schedule, including weekends.
  • Standing and walking for long periods during service hours.

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with both customers and staff.
  • Maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times.
  • Treat guests with genuine care, and ensure their experience is pleasant.
