Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a command of the English language with excellent writing and storytelling skills, with strong writing skills in Sinhala.
Conduct in-depth research on brands, industries, competitors and market trends.
Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and content ideation discussions.
Adapt writing style, tone and structure to suit different industries, audiences and platforms.
Learn to produce high-quality and well-researched written content across platforms, including social media, websites, blogs, email campaigns and articles.
Proofread, edit and quality-check your own work meticulously before submission.
Apply strong Quality Assurance practices to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar, and brand alignment in all content.
Support project teams, senior writers and strategists in executing content plans and meeting project objectives.
Manage multiple projects efficiently while consistently meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in English Literature or Language Studies, Journalism, or Communications.
Proven writing skills demonstrated through a strong portfolio of published or unpublished work.
Strong research capabilities with the ability to gather, analyse and synthesise information effectively.
Excellent written and communication skills in English, with strong expertise in Sinhala. Writing and communication skills in Tamil would be an added advantage.
High attention to detail, with strong proofreading and editing skills and the ability to review and improve your own work before submission.
Showcase good presentational and communication skills to effectively convey ideas, collaborate with teams and communicate with clients.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to learn on the job with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced setting.
Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.

Develop Versatile Content and Strategic Insight

In this role, you will be mentored by senior strategists to master the art of multi-platform content creation, ranging from engaging social media hooks to in-depth blog articles. You will be responsible for conducting meticulous market research and adapting your voice to meet the specific needs of various industries and audiences. By applying rigorous quality assurance to your work and collaborating on large-scale content plans, you will ensure that every piece of writing aligns with brand values and drives meaningful business outcomes.
