Job description – Vice Principal – Student Services & Operations-
Job Summary
To manage, validate and administer the general conduct and social affairs of the STS Staff. In addition, the VP assists with parental liaison in conjunction with the Senior Student Support Services Coordinator regarding newly registered Students.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience and two years successful academic supervisory experience (with experience of curriculum implementation)
Experience with teacher support and/or curriculum and assessment development planning.
Degree in the field of education, M. Ed or M. Sc. preferred
Leadership – Member of the ADVETI Management, responsible for the development of ADVETI Policy and Strategy, overseeing staff and trainee activities and the afternoon/evening delivery of training and trainee social activities reporting all outcomes to the ADVETI Management and implementing decisions and actions as appropriate.
Deputation – Deputizes for the Principal when required and fulfills duties as authorized by the Principal/Managing Director ADVETI.
Staff & HR – Acts as line manager for Officers, Facilities, Maintenance and Administrative staff.
Establishes Formal Work Relationships – Establishes implements and evaluates procedures used to carry out the daily routine of the school.
Facilitates Organizational Efficiency – Maintains good relationships with students, staff and parents. Complies with established lines of authority.
New Staff and Students – Orients and assists new staff members and new students and provide opportunities for their input in the school program.
Supplies and Equipment – Manages, directs, and maintains records on the materials, supplies and equipment which are necessary to carry out the daily school afternoon/evening routine and boarding environment.
Facilities & Maintenance – Organizes, procures, control the various services, supplies, materials, equipment provided and maintenance required to carry out the afternoon/evening school program and boarding environment.
Vehicles – Manages STS vehicle fleet and drivers ensuring vehicles are serviced and operated in accordance with legal requirements.
Communication – Assures that the STS goals, policies, and procedures are accurately communicated to and followed by all campus employees. Develop and utilize effective communication channels through staff meetings, written procedures, and any other means so that campus employees are able to carry out their duties. Keep the Principal informed by making regular, timely, and relevant reports.
Administration – Develops, monitors, modifies, and applies sound administrative practices to assure all departmental employees are properly assigned, supervised and evaluated.
Culture – Creates and promotes a campus atmosphere which encourages retaining students by treating all students fairly, with understanding, respect, and compassion while maintaining discipline.
Recruitment & Marketing – Supports the marketing function, public relations campaigns and recruitment activity to enable the establishment and maintenance of the STS as a preferred education choice for parents and prospective students.
Line Management: The Vice Principal STS reports to and is accountable to the Principal STS. He has direct access to the Director of Secondary Schools as required and appropriate and has functional authority over all subordinate staff within STS.
Liaison Authority: The Vice Principal STS has liaison authority with all STS staff, outside agencies and ADVETI directorate staff at the appropriate equivalent level.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bilingual Arabic/English language ability. Priority for native-Arabic speaker who is able to communicate effectively in English.

Well versed in the learning paradigm and project based learning
Strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people
Sound understanding of technologies that support educational development and current with technology developments
