Job description – Territory Sales Manager

We are currently looking for a high-energy, results-oriented Territory Sales Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives and represent our prestigious brand across the Colombo region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a defined sales territory, ensuring consistent revenue growth and market penetration.

  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue, acquisition, and retention targets.

  • Identify, qualify, and convert prospects into active UPS customers.

  • Deliver effective sales presentations, product briefings, and customized proposals.

  • Build strong relationships with existing clients to increase share of wallet through cross-selling and upselling.

  • Conduct regular customer visits, territory mapping, and competitor analysis.

  • Maintain accurate CRM updates on leads, sales pipelines, and customer activities.

  • Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Credit Control teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Proactively resolve customer concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels.

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Logistics, or related field.

  • 2–4 years of field sales experience, preferably in courier, freight forwarding, logistics, or FMCG.

  • Strong understanding of the international courier market and customer requirements.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision.

  • Valid riding/driving license (mandatory for territory visits).

  • Highly target-driven, self-motivated, and commercially oriented.

As the Territory Sales Manager, you will be the primary engine for revenue growth within your assigned geographic area. Your role involves a proactive blend of prospecting new business and nurturing high-value corporate and SME relationships to expand our market share. By aligning our international shipping capabilities with client needs and collaborating with internal operations teams, you will ensure seamless service delivery and maintain the high standards of customer excellence that UPS is known for globally.
