Job Overview

We are seeking a Technician – Painter to join our maintenance team at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and ensuring that all painting and related maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, technical knowledge of painting methods, and the ability to deliver high-quality results while maintaining safety and cleanliness at all times.

Key Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks or holes before painting.

• Apply paint, varnish, or finishes to a variety of surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures.

• Mix and match paints to achieve accurate colors and finishes.

• Conduct minor surface repairs and maintenance prior to painting tasks.

• Maintain tools, brushes, rollers, and sprayers in good working condition.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and use protective equipment where required.

• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to meet project deadlines.

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and make adjustments as needed.

• Follow sustainable practices by reducing paint waste and disposing of materials responsibly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in painting or related training is advantageous.

• Previous painting experience in hospitality, facilities, or commercial environments is preferred.

• Proficiency with different painting tools and techniques.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering polished results.

• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and working for extended periods.

• Awareness of safety standards and best practices for handling paints and chemicals.

• Effective time management and organizational skills.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
