Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader, Accounting (Inventory and Fixed Asset) to oversee key areas of financial reporting, compliance, and team management. This role requires strong expertise in IFRS, group consolidation, and statutory reporting, along with the ability to lead audit processes and develop robust accounting practices. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, mentor team members, and ensure accurate financial reporting aligned with ADNOC Distribution’s strategic objectives.
Key Duties
- 
Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for ADNOC Distribution and its subsidiaries.
 - 
Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory regulations, and internal financial policies.
 - 
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
 - 
Manage statutory audits, liaising with external auditors and internal teams to ensure timely reporting.
 - 
Maintain and update accounting policies, assessing the impact of new standards on financial reporting.
 - 
Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls, and efficiency.
 - 
Oversee SAP-BPC system maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial master data.
 - 
Support budgeting and fixed cost control activities within the finance department.
 - 
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training, guidance, and career development support.
 - 
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as tax, treasury, legal, and audit teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
 
Requirements
- 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
 - 
At least 8 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles in multinational companies or Big 4 firms.
 - 
Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and corporate accounting practices.
 - 
Experience with consolidation systems (SAP-BPC preferred).
 - 
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
 - 
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
 - 
Project management experience is an advantage.
