Job description – Senior Structural Design Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering and structural design, with proficiency in various design software. This role involves collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop innovative structural solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
• Develop detailed structural designs and plans using CAD software, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Utilize Civil 3D and Revit for modeling and drafting of structural components.
• Collaborate with project managers to create project schedules, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
• Conduct technical writing for project documentation, including reports, specifications, and design calculations using Mathcad.
• Review and analyze design drawings for accuracy and completeness, providing feedback to junior designers as needed.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and propose solutions.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on design reviews.
• Ensure that all designs are cost-effective while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, CAD, and Bluebeam software.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Solid mathematical skills for performing complex calculations related to structural design.
• Strong technical writing abilities for creating clear and concise documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
