Job description – Senior IT Technical Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior IT Technical Engineer who is ready to take ownership of our technical landscape, ensuring our eCommerce and support infrastructures remain resilient in a high-velocity business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.

• Ensure the effective operation of security, backup, and disaster recovery systems.

• Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, applications, and services.

• Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to ensure best practices.

• Collaborate with internal teams to implement system upgrades and technology improvements.

• Manage and support network security, firewalls, and related protection systems.

• Provide technical support and basic IT training to employees.

• Maintain clear documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and resolutions.

• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies to strengthen overall IT capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or technical engineering roles.

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, server environments, and network management.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and system configurations.

• Knowledge of databases, backup solutions, and recovery systems.

• Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, and IT security best practices.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Exposure to Agile methodologies will be considered an added advantage.

Lead Infrastructure Innovation and System Reliability

In this senior technical role, you will be the primary architect of our system uptime and security, managing everything from cloud environments to localized server clusters. You will act as a proactive problem-solver, optimizing network performance and leading disaster recovery initiatives to future-proof our operations. By collaborating across departments to implement cutting-edge upgrades and mentoring staff on IT best practices, you will play a fundamental role in driving the digital transformation that sustains our logistics leadership.
