Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Colombo office. The Senior Executive – Demand & Supply Planning will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end forecasting and inventory management processes. You will ensure optimal stock availability and operational efficiency by aligning supply chain activities with market requirements. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor and cross-functional collaboration to drive business objectives and mitigate supply chain risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales trends and market intelligence to develop accurate demand forecasts.

  • Supply Planning: Oversee supply planning processes to ensure production and procurement schedules meet anticipated demand.

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels across the network to optimize stock-outs while minimizing carrying costs.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to synchronize supply chain activities with business goals.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously monitor planning performance and identify opportunities for operational enhancement and cost savings.

  • Reporting: Utilize ERP systems and data analysis tools to generate detailed reports on inventory accuracy and forecast performance.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 03 years of experience specifically within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and end-to-end Supply Chain Management.

  • Analytical Skills: Advanced skills in data analysis, reporting, and the use of planning tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead discussions across departments.

  • Efficiency: Proven ability to manage complex processes independently while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
