Job Title: Senior Civil & Structural Designer (Onshore)
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: Office-based, short-term secondment (3–4 months)
Working Schedule: Sunday to Thursday
Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civil & Structural Designer with strong experience in brownfield engineering design for onshore oil and gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing detailed civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD, with a proven track record in brownfield modification projects in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and update brownfield engineering drawings through Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
• Update and manage underground composite drawings, drainage layouts, and related civil infrastructure details.
• Prepare general arrangement and detailed drawings for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Deliver architectural drawings for new buildings and facilities.
• Produce drawings for auxiliary structures including pipe supports, bridges, platforms, handrails, and ladders.
• Create and manage 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure drawing deliverables meet project standards and schedules.
Requirements:
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in civil and structural design, including brownfield oil and gas projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Experience with brownfield layout development and drainage systems.
• Solid understanding of architectural and structural detailing for industrial facilities.
• Previous experience in the Middle East is essential; Qatar experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English and able to contribute to design reviews and coordination meetings.
