Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Kandy campus. As a Senior Accounts Executive, you will oversee essential financial operations, ensuring the institutional integrity of our accounting department. The role involves managing budgets, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards and audit requirements. You will also drive process improvements and provide strategic financial insights to support the institution’s growth and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting activities.

• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and present detailed financial statements and reports.

• Budgeting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure fiscal responsibility.

• Compliance: Ensure full adherence to accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal policies.

• Audit Coordination: Manage and coordinate internal and external audit processes.

• Strategic Advice: Provide financial guidance and data interpretation to support leadership decisions.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the accounting workflow and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Financial Expertise: Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Accounting Core: Proficiency in general accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

• Analytical Skills: Advanced ability in financial analysis and data-driven problem-solving.

• Management Accounting: Knowledge of cost control and management accounting practices.

• Technical Proficiency: High level of competence in accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

• Leadership: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to lead and organize departmental tasks effectively.

• Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly advantageous.

• Industry Experience: Prior experience within the education sector is considered a plus.
