Company Overview

SLAERC is the national statutory body responsible for regulating all atomic energy and radiation activities within Sri Lanka. Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Support: Assist in implementing national radiation protection frameworks and atomic energy regulations.

  • Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct scientific evaluations, on-site inspections, and radiation monitoring activities.

  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical and scientific reports as required by the Council.

  • Research & Development: Participate in specialized regulatory research assignments and multidisciplinary national programs.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A B.Sc. Special Degree in Physics OR a B.Sc. General Degree in Physical Science with Physics as a major subject (obtained from a UGC-recognized university). A Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field is a distinct advantage.

  • Age Limit: Must be between 22 and 45 years of age.

  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka and be physically and mentally fit to serve.

Required Skills

  • Solid academic foundation in Physics and analytical research methodologies.

  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and reporting abilities.

  • Basic understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulatory procedures.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaborative team-working skills.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary Scale: Rs. 91,650 – 2,480 x 10 – 3,450 x 15 – Rs. 168,200 (With a starting basic adjustment of Rs. 81,675 as per MSD Circular 01/2025).
