Job description – Sales Executive – Public Sector

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / postgraduate or degree in sales management

Proven experience in sales/account management (preferably in IT/public sector solutions).

Strong knowledge of public sector procurement cycles and tender processes.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to maintain accurate data in CRM and prepare sales forecasts.

Result-oriented mindset with a drive to meet or exceed targets.

Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits. Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients.

Maintaining a qualified healthy funnel for target achievement
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales Target Achievement
-
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
-
Maintain a healthy sales funnel to ensure predictable revenue flow.
Customer Engagement & Canvassing
-
Visit and engage with existing customers regularly to build strong relationships.
-
Canvass for new customers within the public sector to expand the client base.
-
Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure service recovery.
Funnel Growth & Marketing Collaboration
-
Work with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns, events, and promotional activities to grow the sales funnel.

Participate in marketing initiatives, exhibitions, and awareness programs targeting public sector clients.
Opportunity Management

Follow up on leads, prospects, and opportunities to drive closure.

Support the team in identifying new business opportunities and potential clients.

Monitor competitor pricing, new product launches, and market trends.
CRM & Reporting

Maintain 100% accuracy in CRM updates (leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and follow-ups).

Generate and update sales reports, pipeline reviews, and forecasts on a timely basis.
Collections & Finance Coordination

Follow up on outstanding customer dues.

Provide accurate information on receivables and coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely collections.
Internal Collaboration

Participate in sales team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.

Support cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth execution of public sector projects.
Champion digital transformation within the Public Sector. In this Colombo-based role, you will be the primary advocate for our digital solutions, bridging the gap between government needs and innovative technology. You will manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle—from navigating complex procurement cycles and tender processes to maintaining a high-accuracy CRM pipeline. By building deep-rooted relationships with key public sector stakeholders and collaborating with our marketing and finance teams, you will drive the sustainable growth that fuels our global mission.
