Regional Manager, Learning & Development (Down South & Roundtrip)

About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Regional Manager, Learning & Development to oversee L&D activities within our Down South and Roundtrip sectors. As part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts—Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner and a member of John Keells Holdings PLC—you will ensure our training initiatives align with global brand standards and business objectives.
In this role, you will focus on implementing impactful training programs, nurturing leadership pipelines, and fostering a culture of continuous learning to enhance performance, productivity, and service quality across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight: Lead L&D operations for the assigned sector, developing strategies that align with business unit objectives and brand standards.

Capability Building: Implement core operating standards and structured on-the-job training frameworks to drive measurable performance outcomes.

Talent Development: Strengthen leadership pipelines and support talent growth to ensure long-term organizational success.

Digital Learning: Manage and track KPIs for the Cinnamon Online Academy, ensuring high engagement and quality digital learning experiences.

Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with Corporate L&D, People & Culture, and operational leaders to ensure consistency across properties.

Operational Leadership: Translate organizational priorities into practical learning solutions while optimizing L&D budgets for cost-effective delivery.

Performance Focus: Ensure all L&D interventions contribute directly to improved employee engagement and guest service excellence.
Qualifications

Experience: 7–10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development or Training, ideally within the hospitality industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Industry Knowledge: A strong background in hotel operations and professional service standards.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with e-learning systems or hotel LMS platforms is a significant advantage; proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and coaching skills with proven stakeholder management abilities.

Leadership: Ability to lead across multiple properties and manage diverse organizational needs.

Location & Travel: Willingness to reside at the property full-time while traveling to other properties within the region as required.
