Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Mitra AI, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and excellence of our software products. You will engage in the full QA lifecycle—from reviewing technical specifications and designing comprehensive test plans to executing sophisticated automation scripts. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking and programming proficiency to identify system requirements and track quality metrics effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning: Review requirements and design documents to provide actionable feedback. Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Testing Operations: Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities. Perform diverse testing types to ensure total software quality.

• Automation: Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using industry-standard tools.

• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly. Monitor the debugging process and analyze quality metrics such as defect densities and open counts.

• Collaboration: Partner with developers and product managers to define system requirements and resolve issues.

• Innovation: Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and quality assurance strategies.

Required Competencies & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.

• Technical Foundation: Sound knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.

• Programming: Proficiency in programming is required (preferred languages: Java, .Net, PHP, or C++).

• QA Expertise: Thorough understanding of the software quality assurance process and lifecycle.

• Automation: Hands-on experience in test automation is considered a significant advantage.

Soft Skills & Attributes:

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse project stakeholders.

• Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

Preferred Academic Background:

• A strong academic foundation in A/L Mathematics or Bio-Science (preferably with an A or B grade in Physics or Combined Maths).
