Job Overview

As the Planning Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing project scheduling, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with contractual and operational requirements. Working closely between the site teams and head office, you will be responsible for preparing baseline programs, managing extensions of time (EOT), and ensuring effective resource and cost allocation. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Duties

• Develop, update, and monitor project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.

• Prepare baseline programs, cost loading, and resource allocation plans.

• Manage extension of time (EOT) claims and analyze delays.

• Work directly with project managers, site teams, and head office to track progress and resolve planning issues.

• Ensure timely and high-quality project delivery in compliance with budget and client requirements.

• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to support smooth execution.

• Provide analytical reports and updates on project performance to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, with proven expertise in the UAE.

• Strong background working with Tier 1 contractors on large and complex building projects.

• Proficiency in project planning and management software.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Candidates must be based in Abu Dhabi or prepared to relocate—commuting is not an option.
