The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Social Work Undergraduate to join our team for a 6-month paid internship. This role is designed for individuals eager to gain practical, hands-on experience in community engagement and youth development. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between social organizations and the next generation of leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Coordination: Organize and facilitate youth empowerment programs in collaboration with various social organizations.

• Partnership Building: Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including Leo, Lions, and Rotaract Clubs, SANASA/cooperative societies, youth clubs, and local religious institutions.

• Youth Readiness: Support the planning and execution of initiatives aimed at equipping youth with the skills needed for the modern job market.

• Digital Engagement: Manage and create content for social media platforms to promote project activities.

• Volunteer Management: Assist in the recruitment and coordination of volunteers to ensure successful program implementation.

Ideal Candidate

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Social Science, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.

• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Passion: A genuine interest in community development and youth empowerment.

• Digital Literacy: Basic knowledge of social media platforms for professional engagement.
