Job description – Mold Maker (m/f/d)

We are looking for a highly skilled Technician to join our specialized manufacturing team, focusing on the precision care of injection molding systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in a high-tech production environment and takes pride in maintaining the mechanical integrity of complex industrial tools. As a key member of our technical department, you will ensure our production lines remain efficient, reliable, and capable of meeting our rigorous quality standards for global distribution.


Your Tasks

  • Maintains and repairs injection molding tools and equipment with complete and professional care

  • Ensures availability of tools and equipment for upcoming and planned production orders in a timely manner

  • Carries out repairs, maintenance and servicing on the existing tools and ensures the maintenance of necessary documentation history of all tools

  • Assembles new injection molds and fixtures

  • Debugs and optimizes the tools and equipment for optimal production conditions in cooperation with the specialist departments

  • Undertakes total care for tools and equipment from assembly to readiness for serial production

  • Handles high-end standard components such as hot runners, multi ejecting systems, pressure and temperature monitoring systems etc.

  • Inspects and measures components and FOT parts

Your Profile

  • NVQ level 4 in mechanical engineering, or qualified technician / master craftsman, ideally in the field of mold and/ or stamping die technology

  • Professional experience in mold making and injection molding

  • Sound experience with assembly and coordination of injection molds for hybrid parts (plastic/ metal composite)

  • Excellent understanding of 2D and 3D mechanical drawings

  • High quality awareness, reliability, independence and commitment

  • General computer literacy

  • Ability to communicate in Sinhala and English

  • Willingness to work in shifts


In this role, you will take full ownership of tool readiness, from the initial assembly of new molds to the fine-tuning of multi-ejector and hot runner systems for serial production. You will collaborate closely with various specialist departments to optimize equipment performance and ensure every component meets exact specifications.
