Time What You ll Do
* Review contractor material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and UAE standards* Coordinate materials testing with subconsultants and ensure proper documentation is maintained* Conduct field inspections to verify approved materials are used and stored appropriately* Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and quality control documentation* Collect, review, and file MSDS, certificates of compliance, and inspection tags* Advise on material-related nonconformance issues and suggest corrective actions* Monitor site practices and material storage for compliance with safety and quality regulations* Assist in job safety and quality control initiatives for material use on infrastructure projects* Provide technical guidance to junior staff on material control processes* Participate in meetings related to construction materials and ensure timely resolution of material issues Ideal Profile * Bachelor s degree in Engineering* At least 8 years of experience, with minimum 5 years as a material engineer on infrastructure or landscape projects* Strong background in material inspection and testing for roads, highways, and public works* Familiarity with UAE standards and material compliance procedures* Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental compliance related to materials* Excellent reporting, documentation, and verbal communication skills* Registration with Abu Dhabi municipality or relevant equivalency certification is preferred* Ability to analyze engineering data, create reports, and communicate technical findings effectively
