Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Marine Electrician. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of critical electrical systems and equipment onboard marine vessels. Your work will ensure the operational readiness and safety of essential components, ranging from power generation to deck machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation & Repair: Install and maintain electrical systems, including boilers, purifiers, crane controls, and switchboards.

• Power Management: Work on generator synchronization systems and power distribution networks.

• Machinery Support: Troubleshoot and repair winches, bow thrusters, and other essential onboard electrical components.

• Upgrades & Inspections: Perform system upgrades and routine inspections to ensure peak performance.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to maritime safety regulations and industry compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in electrical work, handling marine-grade equipment, and managing complex shipboard electrical systems.

• Power Systems: Deep knowledge of power generation and distribution specifically used in marine environments.

• Industry Experience: Previous experience working on commercial, industrial, or shipyard vessels is highly advantageous.

• Problem Solving: Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues in high-pressure, on-site environments.

• Safety Mindset: Familiarity with maritime safety standards and a commitment to rigorous compliance.

• Education: Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Marine or Industrial specialization preferred).

• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to varying on-site operational needs.
