Job description – Manager
Lead and manage 13 warehouse sheds across the UAE (mainly Sharjah) and a team of 40+ supervisors and workers.Plan, design, and optimize warehouse layouts for maximum space utilization, including pallet storage, tank storage (alcohol/gas), and open yard facilities. Drive reorganization of warehouse operations to improve efficiency and productivity. Oversee training of staff across all levels to enhance operational skills and safety compliance.Implement and refine warehouse procedures, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, cycle counts, and in-house product location. Monitor and report on disposal, write-offs, and salvage of FG returns and obsolete/redundant materials. Manage scheduling of shipping containers in alignment with Customer Service (CS) requirements, including logistics, dispatch, and delivery processes. Administer finished goods distribution, transportation, traffic control, and compliance with local authority permissions. Ensure optimal container utilization and coordinate export inspections for shipments to the USA, Europe, Africa, GCC, Far East, and India. Operate and manage inventory control modules in JD Edwards (ERP). Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Purchase, and Production departments for smooth warehouse operations. Audit warehousing operations to drive continuous improvement in material and inventory management. Oversee forklift/reach-truck maintenance and weighing balance calibrations. Develop, enforce, and monitor warehouse safety procedures and hygiene standards (specific to cosmetics, chemicals, and personal care products). Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Supply Chain, Materials Management, Warehouse Management, or Operations.Additional qualifications or a master’s degree in Material Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage. 8–10 years of relevant experience in Warehouse Management, with proven exposure in 3PL operations. Career background in Perfumes, Personal Care, FMCG (non-food), or Chemical/Cosmetics warehouses preferred. Strong track record in warehouse space utilization, process efficiency, and workforce optimization. Hands-on knowledge of FIFO, LIFO, and FEFO inventory systems. Skilled in ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards/Oracle). Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to manage and train warehouse teams. Advanced knowledge of warehouse processes such as receiving, stacking, sorting, and dispatch. Experience in maintaining warehouse safety and compliance standards. Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills with advanced proficiency in Excel. Preference for male candidates with experience in 3PL companies such as ShipBob, FedEx Fulfillment, Whitebox, DB Schenker, RHS Logistics, Agility, etc.
