The Opportunity: Lecturer/Lecturer Probationary

Located at our Meepe, Padukka facility, this full-time on-site role is a cornerstone position within our Fashion, Textile, and Apparel Technology departments. We are looking for an academic leader who can translate complex technical concepts into engaging, interactive learning experiences. Beyond the classroom, you will serve as a mentor and researcher, driving the development of innovative teaching methodologies and contributing to the university’s strategic academic initiatives. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative, research-driven environment and are passionate about shaping the future of the textile and apparel industry.

Qualifications

• Strong teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring skills

• Proficiency in subject expertise relevant to the role, paired with research capabilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development

• Experience in utilizing modern educational technologies for teaching

• Master’s degree or higher in the relevant academic field; PhD is desirable

• Prior teaching or academic experience is an advantage

• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment
