Role Description

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will bridge the gap between advanced AI research and production-grade software engineering. You will be responsible for designing and deploying scalable, high-impact GenAI and machine learning solutions, while maintaining close collaboration with our UK-based teams. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can translate complex business challenges into robust technical architectures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture: Translate business problems into scalable, production-grade AI solutions and agentic frameworks.

  • Technical Leadership: Drive the development of clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code, adhering to industry best practices.

  • GenAI & LLM Management: Lead LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and the deployment of agentic solutions using modern frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.

  • Data Engineering: Oversee complex data processing and transformation tasks using Pandas, NumPy, SQL, and PySpark.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage containerization and orchestration workflows to ensure seamless deployment across production environments.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a primary technical lead in an off-shore setting, building and maintaining strong relationships with UK-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams.


Knowledge & Experience

Education & Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering.

Technical Competencies

  • Programming: Expert Python skills with familiarity in web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

  • GenAI/LLM: Hands-on experience developing and deploying GenAI applications in production, including experience with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Data Tools: Deep expertise in data transformation; experience with distributed computing (Spark/Databricks) is highly preferred.

  • Cloud & DevOps: Proficiency in containerization tools and exposure to cloud platforms, ideally Azure and Databricks.


Soft Skills

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective global collaboration.

  • Agility: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly evolving technical landscape.

  • Problem Solving: A strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business value through technology.
