Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Infrastructure Engineer – Level 2 to drive technology strategy, lead high-performing engineering teams, and ensure robust infrastructure reliability and security. This role blends advanced technical troubleshooting with strategic leadership and project management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advanced Technical Support

• Escalations: Handle Level 2 incidents and service requests escalated from L1, covering desktops, servers, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.

• Infrastructure Management: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Server, Hyper-V, Sophos Firewalls (including RED devices), and specialized hospitality solutions.

• Cloud & SaaS: Support and manage Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams), Entra ID, and Azure services.

• Networking & VOIP: Administer LAN/WAN infrastructure, network devices (switches, routers, WiFi controllers), and VOIP systems (Vodia/SIP services).

• Maintenance & Security: Perform system upgrades, scheduled patching, and root cause analysis (RCA). Ensure enterprise backups and strictly adhere to data privacy and security policies.

2. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Record Keeping: Document all work, solutions, and system changes within the ticketing system (e.g., ConnectWise, Atera) and client platforms.

• Knowledge Management: Contribute to the internal knowledge base and update network diagrams for both managed and client infrastructure.

• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1 engineers to foster team development.

3. Project Assistance

• Deployments: Support infrastructure upgrades, O365 migrations, and endpoint deployments.

• Implementation: Install new servers and applications; configure user profiles for RDS and client devices.

• Strategic Support: Assist project leads with planning and executing complex network and security configurations.

Required Experience & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.

• Experience: 5–7 years in relevant engineering roles, with a proven track record in strategic technology leadership and managing high-performance teams.

• Core Technical Stack:

  • Microsoft: Office 365, Exchange, SCCM, Active Directory.

  • Virtualization: VMware and Hyper-V.

  • Networking: CCNP-level knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.

  • Security: Strong cybersecurity mindset regarding UTM configuration and infrastructure reliability.

• Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Systems Certified Engineer (MSCE)

  • Azure / AWS / Cloud Certifications

  • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)

  • VMCA / VMCE (Veeam)

  • Sophos Certified Architect
