Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Manager – Industrial to lead, scale, and grow our Industrial business sector across Sri Lanka. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building the business from the ground up, driving robust revenue growth, and establishing a dominant market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the Industrial business strategy to ensure long-term, sustainable revenue and profitability.

  • Localize and execute global and regional corporate strategies based on Sri Lankan market needs.

  • Provide regular local market feedback to help refine global strategic plans.

  • Analyze overall market potential to define competitive positioning and pricing models.

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and new commercial opportunities.

  • Support the development and launch of new industrial services and product offerings.

  • Lead budgeting, resource planning, and day-to-day operational execution.

  • Manage contract drafting, commercial negotiations, and new client acquisition (both local and international).

  • Oversee all pre- and post-contract commercial aspects, including credit management and collections.

  • Ensure operational excellence, strict quality standards, and high customer satisfaction.

  • Drive efficient claim management processes and ensure reporting accuracy.

  • Build strong client relationships while representing and maintaining brand integrity.

  • Foster cross-functional synergies across different business lines to identify fresh acquisition opportunities.

  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing local team.

  • Identify and groom future leaders within the business.

Ideal Candidate

  • A strong background in Industrial, Technical, or Services-based business development.

  • Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build and scale teams from scratch.

  • Solid commercial acumen and contract management expertise.

  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and executive-level client engagement.

  • A strategic thinker who balances long-term vision with hands-on operational execution capability.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
