About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Finance to join the team at Cinnamon Bentota Beach. As part of Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner and a member of the John Keells Holdings PLC conglomerate, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations. Your work will directly contribute to the site’s financial health through robust reporting, precise budgeting, and insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, ensuring total accuracy.

• Budgeting & Monitoring: Collaborate across departments to assist in the budgeting process, monitor adherence, and report on variances.

• Transaction Oversight: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of any discrepancies.

• Analysis & Forecasting: Perform detailed financial analysis regarding profitability and cost control, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and savings.

• Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to all statutory and financial regulations.

• Tax & Statutory Filings: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other legal financial filings.

• Systems & Process Improvement: Utilize SAP and other financial systems to analyze data and recommend workflow enhancements.

Qualifications

• Professional Credentials: Partly or fully qualified in ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, including a background in auditing.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems; strong financial modeling and problem-solving skills.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

• Flexibility: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing financial priorities.

• Location: Willingness to relocate and reside at the property in Bentota full-time.
