Position Overview
As a Civil Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the structural integrity and design of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry projects across commercial and residential builds. This role requires analytical thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders under time-sensitive conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and develop designs adhering to industry standards (Eurocode, BS, etc.).
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and structural reports.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) engineers, and contractors to ensure design coordination and feasibility.
- Liaise with local authorities as required for project approval or compliance.
- Deliver efficient, code-compliant designs under strict deadlines without sacrificing quality or safety.
- Utilize structural design software such as AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD Pro, Geo5, and SAFE to execute calculations and modeling.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in structural design and site coordination.
- Proficiency in advanced structural software tools and computer-aided drafting.
- Strong understanding of load calculations, material strengths, and structural behavior.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote coordination.
