Job description – Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor – Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
Key Responsibilities
Research
• Establish and maintain an active research program in AI/CS with external funding potential
• Publish research findings in high-impact journals and premier conferences
• Develop interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside the university
• Supervise graduate students (M.Tech/Ph.D.) and guide their research projects
• Participate in peer review activities for journals and conferences
Teaching
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and AI
• Develop innovative curriculum for emerging technologies
• Mentor students in academic and career development
• Supervise student projects, internships, and thesis work
• Integrate industry-relevant skills and technologies into coursework
Service
• Participate in departmental and university committee work
• Contribute to program development and accreditation activities
• Engage in professional service to the broader academic community
• Support university outreach and engagement initiatives
Required Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or closely related field
• Strong research background with 8-12 high-quality publications
• Demonstrated potential for independent research and external funding
• Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level
• Expertise in core AI areas: machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, robotics, or related fields
• Programming proficiency in multiple languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and computational theory
