Import Executive – Biyagama

Job Title: Import Executive – Logistics & Supply Chain Operations

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Executive to join our team in Biyagama. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a vital part in managing end-to-end import operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and maintaining accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the entire import process from order placement to goods clearance

• Prepare, verify, and manage import-related documentation in compliance with customs and BOI requirements

• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs officials, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries

• Track and monitor shipment progress to avoid delays and bottlenecks

• Ensure all records, files, and reports related to imports are accurate and up to date

• Support procurement and inventory teams with timely information on shipment statuses

• Handle day-to-day import queries and resolve issues promptly

• Assist with export-related duties when necessary

• Work closely with ERP systems and maintain proper data entry and reporting

• Stay informed on import regulations and logistics best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in import operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of BOI and Sri Lankan customs procedures

• Familiarity with import documentation (shipping instructions, invoices, packing lists, etc.)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience handling both imports and exports

• Prior exposure to working with international suppliers or logistics partners

• Knowledge of supply chain trends and import optimization techniques

Location & Work Type:
On-site role based in Biyagama, Sri Lanka
Full-Time | Monday to Saturday (occasional extra hours based on operational needs)
