Job Overview
We’re seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Manager – Business Development to join our team in Colombo 05. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll focus on generating leads, nurturing client relationships, and helping drive sales while collaborating with the wider business development team. If you’re passionate about identifying new business opportunities, love a good challenge, and excel in fast-paced environments, this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze market trends, potential clients, and competitor activity
  • Identify and qualify new business leads through targeted outreach and cold calling
  • Convert prospects into meetings and business opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Collaborate with the BD team to manage daily tasks, calls, and progress tracking
  • Prepare compelling business proposals and presentations to pitch our solutions
  • Upsell additional services and clearly articulate the value of our offerings
  • Manage smooth handovers to the operations team for order processing and fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, activities, and conversions
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Stay informed about industry developments to support strategic growth planning

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Target-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting KPIs
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Confident working independently and within a team

Nice-to-Have:

  • Master’s degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Experience in a fast-growing or startup environment
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and analytics platforms
