Associate Quality Analyst

Job Purpose

To define the quality baseline of company products and verify their functionality for end-users, ensuring all features are developed to meet the requirements specified in user stories.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Employ technical and analytical skills to conduct quality testing and design checks in line with agreed objectives.

  • Verify products from a quality perspective to ensure they are designed, developed, and delivered in accordance with established concepts and story requirements.

  • Understand system requirements and user stories to develop and execute a variety of testing scenarios, ensuring credibility and recommending solutions as applicable.

  • Create, update, and maintain Test Cases, Test Plans, schedules, and technical documentation.

  • Document testing results, track defects, and log releases using JIRA to maintain transparent testing reports for the team.

  • Support the development team during sprint planning by providing testing data to help guide final deliverables or alternative solutions.

  • Adopt Agile and SCRUM methodologies to ensure flexibility, productivity, and adaptability to business needs.

  • Stay abreast of market trends and new technologies, researching and conducting comparative analyses to recommend best practices.

  • Collaborate with teams in technical discussions to source the best solutions, improve workflows, and continuously develop existing design systems.

  • Perform any other additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent discipline.

  • Certified SCRUM Master or Professional Certified Product Owner is a plus.

  • Quality Assurance certifications are considered an advantage.

  • Solid technical background with a strong understanding of software development.

  • Comfortable utilizing collaboration tools such as Slack and JIRA.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst (or similar role) in a B2B/B2C enterprise environment, specifically focused on airline products or IT airline services (e.g., Ground Handling, PSS, Crew Management), or within an IT solutions company offering airline products.

  • Proven experience working with both internally and externally hosted technology platforms.

  • Good understanding of user interface (UI/UX) design principles.

  • Good knowledge of databases with hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries.

  • Familiarity with various defect management systems.

  • Strong cross-functional testing experience across various services, user interfaces, desktop, web/mobile views, mobile apps (iOS & Android), APIs, regression, load, and performance testing.

  • Experience creating and maintaining large-scale test data frameworks to support test automation.

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (SCRUM, KANBAN) and other SDLC models, alongside a deep understanding of software QA methodologies.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to process large amounts of data into actionable information.

  • Exceptional expertise in identifying system pitfalls, structural gaps, and recommending appropriate solutions.

  • A proven track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.

  • Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience collaborating across multiple project roles.

  • Ability to work independently as a contributing member in a high-paced environment, juggling multiple projects under pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute and successfully deliver against overall business strategies and set KPIs.

  • Strong multitasking abilities with an understanding of how to optimize test cases to provide maximum coverage.
