Job description – Sales Executive – Chemicals (Business Development)

Soap and Allied Industries (Pvt) Ltd (SAIL), a proud member of the Colombo Machinery & Equipment (Pvt) Ltd (CMEL) Group, is a premier partner to Sri Lanka’s industrial giants, including Unilever, Nestlé, and MAS. We are currently seeking a technically proficient and results-driven Sales Executive to spearhead the expansion of our Industrial Chemicals and Soap Raw Materials division.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and secure new customers in industrial and manufacturing sectors

Develop new product opportunities and market segments

Promote and introduce new chemical products

Reactivate dormant accounts
-
Achieve monthly sales targets through structured customer visits
Key Qualifications & Experience
-
Degree in Chemistry / Food Science / Chemical Science (Preferred)

Marketing qualification (SLIM / CIM – Full or Part) is an added advantage

GCE O/L & A/L
-
2–4 years’ experience in B2B / Industrial / Chemical sales

Strong communication & negotiation skills

Self-driven with strong market development capability
Lead Market Development and Strategic Sales
As a specialist in our chemicals portfolio, you will be responsible for identifying untapped market segments and securing high-value partnerships within the manufacturing sector. Your role is central to our growth strategy, requiring you to introduce innovative chemical solutions to top-tier clients and revitalize dormant accounts through consistent, structured outreach. By meeting ambitious monthly targets and leveraging your technical expertise, you will play a fundamental part in maintaining SAIL’s reputation as a market leader in Colombo 03.
