- Application Support: Assist with university application preparation, including reviewing documents, filling forms, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Visa Guidance: Provide accurate, updated information regarding student visa requirements and application processes for various countries.
- Follow-ups: Maintain contact with students and parents throughout the consultation process to track progress, remind of deadlines, and resolve queries.
- Documentation Review: Check all documents submitted by students for completeness, accuracy, and authenticity before submission to universities or visa offices.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records in the company’s CRM system, ensuring data privacy and accuracy.
- Outreach Activities: Participate in education fairs, school seminars, webinars, and open days to promote the organization’s services and build a client pipeline.
- Market Updates: Stay informed about changes in international education, institutional partnerships, tuition fees, and visa regulations.
- Reporting: Submit weekly and monthly updates on consultation statistics, inquiries, conversions, and pending files to the management team.
- Customer Service: Maintain professional, respectful interactions with students and families. Ensure clear communication and manage expectations appropriately.
Required Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Education, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
- Strong command of English and Sinhala or Tamil (fluency in all three is an added advantage).
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the education sector or administrative support.
- Good knowledge of higher education systems (local or overseas) will be a significant advantage.
Preferred Attributes:
- A genuine interest in student welfare and education guidance.
- Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and confidently with young adults and their families.
- A methodical and organized approach to task management and record keeping.
- Discretion in handling sensitive student data and documentation.
- Patience in answering repeated or similar questions without frustration.
- Professional presentation and demeanor—this is an advisory role where first impressions matter.
- Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to changing visa rules or academic trends.
- Ability to manage time and multitask during peak admission seasons.
Work Conditions:
- Based in the Jaffna office with occasional local travel for school visits or events.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with occasional weekend work during peak application periods or events.
- Office-based environment with regular use of computers, printers, and telecommunication tools.
- Performance will be assessed through metrics such as consultation volume, application conversions, and student satisfaction.
