Key Duties

The Reporting and Analytics Developer/Analyst will play an important role in supporting data-driven decision-making at the University of Florida. As part of the Reporting and Analytics Team within UF Information Technology (UFIT), this role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining data models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

You will:

  • Partner with data analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.

  • Develop and maintain operational and analytical reports across multiple data domains.

  • Provide support for customer inquiries, troubleshooting, and debugging existing reports.

  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure data pipelines and reporting tools function effectively.

  • Guide and train users on reporting best practices and use of UF-supported toolsets.

This position requires technical expertise combined with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and leadership groups.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of related experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Equivalent technical training or coursework may substitute as appropriate.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos, Tableau, or Workday reporting.

  • Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, Snowflake, ETL processes, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.).

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft ERP systems.

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, test, and troubleshoot reporting or visualization issues.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary: $82,000 – $92,000 per year (commensurate with education and experience)
