Job Overview
Etihad Airways is seeking a Fleet Engineer – Cabin to ensure the continuing airworthiness and safety of its aircraft interiors. Reporting to the Airbus Technical Fleet Manager, the role is responsible for implementing regulatory compliance, managing modifications, and supporting fleet reliability and performance. This position is integral to maintaining high safety standards while driving operational efficiency across the airline’s cabin fleet.
Key Duties
- 
Assess and implement all relevant Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins related to cabin interiors.
 - 
Collaborate with OEMs, MROs, and internal teams to optimize fleet reliability, cost, and on-time performance.
 - 
Prepare Engineering Orders, Special Checks, and other technical documents for modifications and fleet status assessments.
 - 
Support technical projects, including end-of-lease activities, new aircraft introductions, and fleet modification programs.
 - 
Monitor and review TFU/FAIR reports, issuing advisories as needed to maintain safety standards.
 - 
Promote a positive safety culture by reporting unsafe acts or conditions and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
 - 
Assist with software management and e-enabling initiatives for fleet operations.
 - 
Provide technical guidance and support to the Lead Engineer in fleet management functions.
 
Requirements
- 
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent for chartered engineer eligibility).
 - 
Minimum 3 years CAMO experience as a Fleet Engineer or Technical Services Engineer, or 5 years in airline engineering/technical commercial aviation.
 - 
Aircraft B1/B2 type training on A320, A350, or A380 preferred.
 - 
Experience with AMOS MIS is an advantage.
 - 
Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations, maintenance practices, and aircraft modification processes.
