Job Overview

We are seeking a Projects Engineer with expertise in 2D AutoCAD drafting and structural design. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of mild steel load-bearing structures, coupled with the ability to coordinate across fabrication, procurement, and site teams. The position involves hands-on drafting, design calculations, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and safely.

Key Duties

• Develop and review 2D AutoCAD drawings for structural steel projects and layouts.

• Perform design and load calculations for mild steel elements, ensuring compliance with international standards.

• Coordinate with fabrication and site teams to ensure timely and accurate execution.

• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and fabrication details for approval.

• Provide technical support and conduct site inspections to resolve engineering issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 2 years’ experience in structural steel projects.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and structural design principles.

• Familiarity with international standards such as AISC, BS, and Eurocodes.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with 3D modeling software (Tekla, Revit, or SolidWorks).

• Previous UAE/GCC experience in steel fabrication and erection projects.
