Key Duties

As a Head Barista, you will take ownership of ensuring outstanding coffee quality and leading a team of baristas to deliver memorable customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and maintaining specialty coffee standards across beverages and menus.

• Leading recipe development, calibration, and quality assurance processes.

• Training, mentoring, and evaluating baristas, including organizing workshops and cuppings.

• Managing day-to-day bar operations, including opening/closing, workflow, and delegating responsibilities.

• Monitoring inventory, handling supply orders, and maintaining stock levels.

• Ensuring compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health regulations.

• Engaging with customers, addressing concerns, and promoting coffee knowledge.

• Overseeing the maintenance and calibration of coffee equipment, coordinating with management for servicing needs.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of specialty coffee experience, including at least 2 years in a Head Barista role.

• Advanced knowledge of brewing methods, origins, processing, latte art, and coffee trends.

• Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to mentor staff.

• Excellent communication and customer engagement abilities.

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Valid UAE driving license (required for branch visits and operational support).

• Completion of SCA courses or equivalent coffee certifications.
