Key Duties

As a Foam Carving Worker, you will be responsible for shaping and producing foam-based models and decorative structures. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Cutting, carving, and shaping foam or Styrofoam to create displays, models, or props based on design specifications

• Reading and following design drawings, sketches, or templates accurately

• Operating hand tools, hot wire cutters, and power tools with proper safety practices

• Applying finishing techniques such as sanding, sealing, painting, or coating to achieve the required appearance

• Assembling multiple carved parts into complete structures or installations

• Coordinating with designers, supervisors, and project staff to ensure timely delivery of work

• Maintaining safety standards, reducing material waste, and keeping the workspace organized

Requirements

• Previous experience in foam carving, model making, or a related craft is an advantage

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or design patterns

• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely

• Attention to detail and creativity in producing high-quality finishes

• Good teamwork and time management skills to meet project deadlines

• Physical ability to handle materials and work in a production environment
