Job description – Lathe Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lathe Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining lathe machines. The candidate should be able to work independently and efficiently to ensure the production of high-quality output.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate lathe machines to cut, shape and form metal and plastic materials according to specifications
• Adjust machine controls and tool settings to ensure precision and accuracy in the finished product
• Monitor machines during operation to detect and resolve any issues or malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their proper functioning
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the necessary specifications for the workpiece
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions of finished parts
• Ensure that work areas are clean and free of debris to maintain a safe working environment
• Operate and maintain lathe machines to ensure production output is of the highest quality.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lathe machine operator
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of lathe machine operations and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills

Location: Mussafah, Abu Dhabi

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,800.00 – AED2,200.00 per month
